THE MONKEY MOVIE
 

The same neuron fires when we see an object as when we hear the sound belonging to that object. Here,  several sounds monkeys made while playing with film equipment are paired in different sequences to images of monkeys involved in experiments. The viewer becomes part of a larger experiment regarding the relationship of sound and visuals in film, while in the process perceived hierarchies of species are also called into question.
